System Engineer @ Komatsu

The primary goal at Komatsu is to unify and streamline its operations by transforming its existing structure into a cohesive and collaborative entity. The vision involves consolidating the subgroups within infrastructure into one cohesive team, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose among team members. There's a clear emphasis on creating a more inclusive group dynamic, strengthening the collective identity of the team. 

The purpose of the System Engineer will lie on maintaining and optimizing the current IT environment, aiding and elevating the technical support, addressing complex issues, and paving the way for future improvements in resource management, adopting new technologies, and team expansion. 

An overview of the tasks and responsibilities: 

• Maintenance and Optimization of the M365 Environment: Ensure all M365 applications and services are functioning efficiently and securely. Regularly update and maintain the M365 environment. Provide advanced support for M365-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to business operations. Diagnose and resolve issues with devices (such as laptops) that are not performing well, particularly regarding Wi-Fi connectivity. Identify and optimize security settings within M365 to prevent security leaks and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Active Directory Management: Maintain and manage Active Directory (AD), including user account creation, group policy management, and AD synchronization with Azure AD. Develop and enforce policies to enhance security and streamline user management within AD and Azure AD.
• Project Work: Participate in and lead various IT projects as needed. This includes tasks such as the optimization of existing systems, implementation of new technologies, and enhancement of security measures.
• Security Focus: Assist in managing and configuring Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring network security and integrity. Integrate security measures within the M365 and Azure environments to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Azure: Maintain and optimize Azure services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and Azure AD. Implement security best practices in Azure, including identity and access management and threat protection.
• Network Security: Assist with the configuration and management of Palo Alto firewalls to ensure robust network security. Develop and enforce security policies across the network, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Stakeholder management: The System Engineer will have significant collaboration with, both internal and external stakeholders. Internally, there will be close cooperation with the security team and with end-users and different business units. Externally, there will be regular interaction with Delaware.
