As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for mapping the existing application landscape within COOP Apotheken. This involves analyzing current software tools, systems, and processes, documenting their functionalities and interrelationships, and managing them. By creating this overview, you will identify inefficiencies and outdated systems. The goal is to modernize and digitize these applications so that they better align with the current and future needs of the pharmacies within the cooperative.
Additionally, you will act as a bridge between technical teams and various stakeholders within the organization, such as pharmacists, IT administrators, and management. By maintaining regular contact, you will gather valuable input and feedback on their wishes, requirements, and needs. This not only helps in developing concrete solutions that truly contribute to their daily operations but also promotes a culture of collaboration and engagement.
Finally, in this role, you will support the digitization initiatives of COOP Apotheken. This can range from developing new software applications to optimizing existing processes using modern technologies. You will ensure that the solutions you provide enhance efficiency, improve user experience, and strengthen the quality of care that the pharmacies offer. Thus, you will have a direct impact on the operations and service delivery of the pharmacies within COOP Apotheken.
Profile
Hard Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in software development.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or C++. You should be able to read, understand, and make minor adjustments.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 or Hibernate is essential.
- Experience in developing web applications using popular frameworks such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and modern development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
- Experience with system integration and security protocols is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to Detail: The candidate must be able to consistently and effectively handle detailed information to ensure quality and accuracy.
