Product Manager Health Data Integration @ Amaron

AMSP04398

Function

The Product Manager is not merely a roadmap manager; he or she is the strategic architect who determines how medical data will flow in the future.

The importance of this role is twofold:

For Amaron: You are the driving force behind the realisation of a scalable PaaS/SaaS product portfolio. Your vision helps shape the progress,  importance and role of Amaron in being seen as a valuable partner for healthcare institutions large and small. You ensure that the platform is not only technically superior, but also commercially scalable and internationally deployable.

For the Healthcare Sector: Your work has a direct impact on patient safety. By ensuring that all necessary data (such as allergies or lab results) is made available to doctors immediately and in an understandable format via international standards, you help improve medical care and reduce the workload for healthcare providers. You help build a healthcare system where data follows the patient, and not the other way round.

You bring focus, translate complex legislation into usable features, and ensure that Amaron remains in the driver’s seat in a rapidly changing market.

Profile

  • Experience: You have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in a (Technical) Product Management role, preferably within a complex B2B environment (SaaS, Healthcare, or FinTech).
  • Technical Foundation: You are not a developer, but you speak their language. Terms such as REST services, JSON, API architecture and security protocols are second nature to you.
  • Interoperability: Knowledge of HL7, FHIR or experience with data integration in a complex sector is an asset. The desire to become the leading expert in the field of EHDS is an absolute must.
  • Education: You hold a master’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Economics) or equivalent through experience, and combine this with strong conceptual thinking skills.

Personality and competencies

  • Pragmatism over theory: You are a ‘doer’ who loves tangible results. You translate complex concepts into concrete solutions that work for the client today.
  • Entrepreneurship: You don’t wait for a to-do list. You spot opportunities in the market, back them up with facts and take ownership of their implementation
  • Bridge-builder: You possess the necessary persuasiveness to understand both developers and hospital management and win them over to your vision
  • Grit: You have the perseverance required in a growing organisation where the foundations of tomorrow are being laid today.

Offer

  • Strategic impact and ownership: You will have the unique opportunity to take the driver’s seat. You will not simply be carrying out instructions, but will work alongside senior management, subject matter experts and stakeholders to define the long-term vision and roadmap for the ‘Health Data Sharing’ product group.
  • Social relevance in a vital sector: You will work on products that are crucial to the (Belgian) healthcare sector. Your work will directly contribute to the foundation of secure and efficient data sharing, which is essential for the quality of care.
  • A pioneer in technological innovation (EHDS & FHIR): Whilst the sector often still struggles with the theory, at Amaron you are already building concrete bridges between complex systems using standards such as FHIR and HL7. You will have the opportunity to build expertise in the rapidly changing landscape of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
  • The bridge between vision and practice: In this role, you are the ‘missing link’. You combine highly conceptual thinking with tangible execution, liaising between the founders, software developers and end-users such as hospitals and government bodies.
  • A no-nonsense and entrepreneurial culture: Amaron offers a dynamic environment where initiative and input are not only valued but also expected. You will join a close-knit, growing team that takes great pride in the role it aims to play for its clients and within the healthcare sector – with a healthy dose of pragmatism.
  • Professional growth and authority: You will be given the opportunity to establish yourself as an authority in the field of interoperability and privacy-by-design. In addition, Amaron will continuously support you in further developing your knowledge of new guidelines and innovative projects.
  • Comprehensive and competitive package: In addition to a salary commensurate with your seniority, you will benefit from a company car, fringe benefits and a traffic-free working environment.
