Function
As an Integration Architect within the ICT department of Wonen in Vlaanderen, you play a central and crucial role in technically streamlining communication between various applications, platforms, and external partners. In a landscape where data exchange with actors such as housing companies, local authorities, and MAGDA is essential, you ensure that these flows are secure, reliable, and efficient.

Your contribution is essential to ensure the smooth flow of information within the agency, always balancing performance, security, and future-proofing.
This role includes integration strategy, architecture, and governance, focusing on a hybrid cloud landscape. You will implement API governance, manage Identity & Access Management (SAML, OAuth2), and optimize integration processes. Knowledge sharing, coaching, and stakeholder management with partners are also core responsibilities. Reviews and documentation ensure consistency and best practices within agile teams.

For this role, we are looking for an experienced architect who effortlessly combines technical depth with a strategic helicopter view. You preferably hold a master's degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science or Civil/Industrial Engineering), although relevant experience will naturally be weighed equally. With at least ten years of experience in a complex IT environment – a significant portion of which specifically within IT architecture and integration issues – you are ideally positioned to take on the challenges at Wonen in Vlaanderen. You have a proven track record in designing and implementing robust integration solutions within hybrid landscapes (Azure, AWS, and on-premise) and are familiar with translating business needs into architectural concepts using methodologies such as Archimate. Experience within an Agile context (Scrum/SAFe) is a significant asset, as is any previous experience with the Flemish government.
