Function
The IT Infrastructure Department (±130 FTE) is a critical pillar within CM and is responsible for the availability, reliability and security of all IT systems. The department manages the network and cloud infrastructure, databases, middleware and integration platforms essential to CM's digital operations.
The Manager IT Infrastructure manages around 40 employees, organised into 4 Agile platform teams: Application Platforms & OutSystems, Cosmos, Middleware and Integration.
Each of these has a clear focus and responsibilities:
- Fixed, first point of contact for the development domains.
- Planning, project management and coordination of major infrastructure changes and projects, as well as for the infrastructure components of development initiatives.
- Cross-functional automation focused on delivering end-to-end infrastructure services with the aim of enabling development and infrastructure teams to work more autonomously.
- Establish and maintain monitoring and planning processes.
As IT Manager Infrastructure, you will be responsible for five key areas:
- Strategic leadership: developing and implementing CM's hybrid cloud strategy, incl cloud native infrastructure, multi-cloud management and on-premise integration, C-level advice on innovation and operational efficiency, scalability, risk management and compliance.
- People management & team development: leading and coaching 4 specialised teams (agile and DevOps), cultivating cooperation in a high-performance team culture, talent management and mentoring, optimising cooperation between IT and the business.
- Operational management & optimisation: with focus on IT infrastructure, including application platforms, middleware and integration platforms.
- Budget management and supplier management: managing the annual IT infrastructure budget (OPEX / CAPEX) and looking for efficient cost optimisation strategies. Working with strategic IT partners and providers to negotiate contracts and manage SLAs. Evaluate and select external suppliers, prepare public procurement procedures.
- Innovation and digitalisation: Implement AI- and machine learning-driven technologies, active contribution to CM's broader digital transformation strategy, by initiating innovation projects and positioning IT as a strategic partner within the organisation.
Profile
- You have a Master degree in ICT or equivalent through experience.
- You also have at least 10 years‘ experience in ICT, in addition you have at least 5 years’ experience in an ICT management position in a large company or organisation.
- You have knowledge of the operation of application platforms and infrastructures for both on prem and cloud applications.
- You have broad knowledge and experience of ICT processes (ITIL) and infrastructure management.
- Experience with Agile Scrum within infrastructure is a big plus, an Agile mindset is a must.
- DEVOPS experience is an absolute asset.
- Experience with public tender preparation is a plus.
- You understand the design created by the solution architects.
- You have experience managing infrastructure projects.
- With your personal charisma, outspoken vision and good global ICT knowledge and experience, you are able to build solid leadership. Your management and communication style stimulate cooperation and make you an enthusiastic coach and People manager.
- You strive for results and maximum customer satisfaction. You have the natural ambition to further develop your employees and continuously optimise the processes for which you are responsible.
- Fluent multilingualism in Dutch, French and English is important in the many internal and external contacts.
