The Role: Staff Software Engineer
This role functions as a strategic hybrid of a Technical Architect and a High-Velocity Builder. Rather than acting as a mere implementer, you will serve as a proactive stakeholder expected to translate conceptual "napkin sketches" into robust, production-grade AI deployments.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Engineering (60%): Maintain full lifecycle ownership of microservices and APIs, spanning from initial data modeling to deployment and operational monitoring.

Technical Leadership (40%): Establish rigorous standards for code quality and repository structure while mentoring both junior and senior engineers across a 100-person organization.

AI-Assisted Development: Serve as a benchmark for the department by leveraging advanced tools like Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor to accelerate delivery.

AI Capability Integration: Lead the seamless integration of LLM features and machine learning architectures, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), into production-scale services.
Profile
You're a high-seniority professional with a "can-do" mentality and deep experience in complex software environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Experience: 10+ years in software engineering.
- Technical Stack: Strong Python skills plus experience in a compiled language (C#/.NET, Go, or Rust).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Production experience with Azure (AKS/Kubernetes), AWS, or GCP.
- Core Skills: Expert knowledge of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and event-driven patterns.
- Soft Skills: Proactive, pragmatic regarding business value, and a fundamental ability to translate complex tech into actionable insights for stakeholders.
