Function
As the end responsible person for ICT services for the Asset Management, Compliance & Safety business domains, you are truly at the functional core of Brussels Airport Company.
Together with your team, you act as an enabler to optimize the management and operation of the airport, including operational risks, security and asset management. You also have a direct impact on helping to realize the strategic ambitions in SHIFT 2027 and shaping a digital twin as part of the Stargate project.
As a driven leader, you like to bridge the gap between business needs and ICT technologies.You understand the importance of connecting people, processes and technology.
The technological possibilities and the ambition in terms of integration are ever increasing. In this context, you take the lead in moving the organization from a focus on “run” to a more future-oriented, roadmap-driven “think” approach to realize these opportunities.
This impactful role therefore translates into a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, indication time allocation:
- 40% focus on leadership & people management
- 20% strategy and vision, roadmap definition
- 20% stakeholder management
- 20% reporting and budget
Strategy and Vision
- You optimize the ICT services for fire departments, bird control, asset management and more, among others, ensuring that everything is always performing at top level.
- You develop and manage the roadmap for the various support services, from strategic vision to concrete projects and budgeting for the next 2 to 4 years.
Leadership and people management
- You build a passionate team of talented employees and a network of service providers;
- You initiate and facilitate change to enable improvement.
- You manage a core team of product managers, who in turn manage functional analysts.
- As a leader, you provide the necessary internal, as well as cross-departmental processes, architectures and structures to build ICT solutions with maximum business value in the most efficient, effective and predictable way;
- As a Coach, you are supportive of the team to give them a safe and enjoyable environment in which each individual can perform and develop talents to the maximum.
Stakeholder management
- You know who the key stakeholders are, what their priorities and drivers are, and ensure engagement by establishing appropriate communication channels with them;
- You build relationships and cooperation agreements with partners and stakeholders within your domain. In collaboration with these external relationships, new ICT scalable concepts, initiatives and projects will be developed which will then be given a place within the business model of BAC and its partners.
Project and service management
- You convert strategy into actions. You manage the execution of projects, delegate tasks and track progress to ensure everything is on track.
- You have budget responsibility for ICT services, both for the run and for changes and new initiatives.
Profile
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent through experience;
- You have extensive relevant experience with a proven track record of results and people;
- Strong plus is experience in the domain of digital asset management solutions;
- You combine a strategic vision with a strong drive for results and practical skills;
- You are a driven people manager;
- You are customer oriented, have experience with external customer contact at C-level;
- You can convince through your diplomacy and negotiation skills;
- You have organizational skills and are result driven;
- You are fluent in Dutch or French, have a good knowledge of the second language and can express yourself well in English.
