Senior Presales Engineer @ Soda Data
AMCV04253
Function
The Presales Engineer role is absolutely central to Soda’s growth. The Presales Engineer will bridge sales and technology, translating customer needs into tailored solutions, delivering compelling product demos, and supporting proof-of-concepts. The Sales Engineer role at Soda combines deep technical expertise with a passion for customer success. The Sales Engineer represents the “voice of the customer” ensuring that every solution meets real-world requirements and contributes to long-term adoption.
This role directly impacts Soda’s win rates, ARR growth, and product roadmap. By ensuring prospects experience the real value of Soda, the Presales Engineer not only helps secure new business but also influences how Soda’s product evolves. It’s a unique chance to shape the adoption of AI-ready data observability software in some of the world’s largest organizations. As a Presales Engineer, you won’t just demo a product; you will demonstrate how Soda helps industry leaders win their future with data. The role is particularly focused on supporting the European market, with a clear priority on France, and involves working with multiple Sales Representatives rather than being tied to a single account executive.
Tasks and responsibilities
As a Presales Engineer at Soda, you will be the technical cornerstone of the sales cycle. From the moment a prospect shows interest, you step in to demonstrate the real value of Soda’s platform, tailoring demos and proof-of-concepts to their specific needs. You will act as the trusted advisor for enterprise clients, guiding them through complex evaluation processes and ensuring that Soda’s unique proposition is crystal clear. Your role is not about “selling” in the traditional sense, but about showing what’s possible, removing doubts, and translating technical potential into business impact. This makes your contribution pivotal: every successful demo or POC you deliver directly influences Soda’s win rate, ARR growth, and enterprise adoption.
