The IT Security Analyst plays a crucial role within DP World by monitoring the digital security of systems, networks and data against ever-evolving cyber threats. In a complex and automated logistics environment where downtime can cost thousands of dollars per hour, this position is essential. The IT Security Analyst is responsible for detecting vulnerabilities, implementing security measures and responding to incidents quickly and effectively. In doing so, they contribute to compliance with regulations such as NIS2 and ISO.
Thanks to their technical expertise and proactive attitude, the IT Security Analyst brings structure to the security agenda and translates strategic risks into concrete, actionable actions. As a central point of contact for cybersecurity, this role combines both preventive and reactive measures, ensuring targeted management of risks and incidents and actively preventing potential financial or reputational damage. This role supports not only operational security, but also digital transformation and integration into a global Security Operations Center. Moreover, this role provides a bridge between IT and the business, clearly communicating and addressing risks. In a growth trajectory where governance and standardization are key, this role is a key figure. The IT Security Analyst not only ensures IT security, but also provides a foundation for trust, compliance and strategic progress within DP World.
Duties and responsibilities.
- Secure IT systems and data: Develop, implement and manage security measures to protect systems, networks and sensitive information from cyber threats.
- Threat prevention: Proactively detect and prevent unauthorized access, data breaches and other security risks through tools, policies and technology.
- Vulnerability management: Identify vulnerabilities within the infrastructure and execute patches, updates and configurations to mitigate risks.
- Incident Detection and Response: Detect, analyze and manage security incidents to mitigate damage, including reporting and suggestions for improvement.
- Monitoring and Intrusion Detection: Continuously monitor network traffic and systems through intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and deploy automation where possible.
- Security Architecture and Policy Implementation: Participate in the creation of secure network infrastructures and contribute to the implementation of cybersecurity policies in practice.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor regulatory compliance (such as NIS2 and ISO), participate in certification processes and contribute to risk management.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: Close collaboration with the IT infrastructure team, business stakeholders, external vendors and integration into the global Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Reporting and dashboarding: Set up reports and dashboards to provide insight into the status of security measures, risks and actions.
- Support security transformation: Active role in transitioning from an ad hoc security approach to a structured, certified and forward-looking security policy.
Profile
- Several years of work experience (ideally 5 years or more).
- Experience with a wide range of security concepts, including perimeter, network, endpoint security and applications.
- Familiarity with patch management, ISMS, dashboarding, reporting and identity & access management.
- Knowledge of data loss prevention (DLP) for anomaly detection as well as knowledge of network traffic and system monitoring, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Experience with mobile device management solutions such as Intune is a plus.

- Within DP World Antwerp, Dutch is used as the communication language. A good knowledge of English – both spoken and written – is a must.
