Function
As a PMO Specialist, you play a key role in strengthening the control, transparency, and predictability of Matexi’s IT landscape, within an existing PMO framework.
The PMO Specialist focuses on structure, quality, and support across projects, ensuring that IT initiatives are properly prioritized, effectively controlled, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
The PMO Specialist is responsible for:
- Managing the entire project portfolio: project administration, planning, and collecting information and data to monitor the portfolio according to business needs.
- Monitoring and reporting: gathering status updates and preparing dashboards for steering committees and management.
- Financial controlling: tracking project costs, time registration, invoicing, and ensuring projects remain aligned with budgets.
- Safeguarding the quality of the project portfolio (governance and methodology).
- Communication and stakeholder management: facilitating, preparing, and taking minutes during meetings and steering committees, and acting as the first point of contact for project members regarding procedures and tools.
- Resource planning and risk management.
Profile
Experience and Background
- You hold a Master’s degree in Commercial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or (Business) Economics. This background enables you to understand and optimize both the technical process aspects and the financial impact of projects.
- You have initial experience (2–5 years) in PMO, IT portfolio management, or IT/financial controlling.
- You have experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- You possess a strong understanding of IT project delivery and governance in complex environments.

- You work autonomously, are reliable, discreet, and highly organized.
- You have strong analytical skills combined with a structured and pragmatic approach.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
