IT System & Network Coördinator @ Investar
AM.S04533
Function
Purpose of the Position
As IT System & Network Coordinator, you are the essential technological centerpiece at Investar's high-tech campus in Antwerp. You serve as the central point of contact for the daily management, continuity, and security of both office IT (~25 employees) and the campus-wide building and AV network of the VESTAR conference center and underground parking garage.
This is a versatile, pragmatic role in which you combine hands-on network and system administration with orchestrating specialized external IT and AV partners. You ensure that internal colleagues can work smoothly, that conferences and events run seamlessly on a network and AV level (such as setting up specific client VLANs or supporting AV protocols), and that the IT infrastructure is ready for future campus expansion projects.
At Investar, you will work in a no-nonsense, lean & mean environment offering substantial autonomy. You won't face these challenges alone: you will work closely with an experienced fellow administrator and rely on professional external backup partners (such as Simac and Blue Moon).
Duties and Responsibilities
Network Management and Campus Infrastructure (Cisco Meraki & VLANs):
-
Managing, monitoring, and documenting the physical and logical data network across the entire campus (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, fiber connections, and internet access).
-
Setting up and maintaining strict network segmentation (VLANs) between office networks, building management systems (HVAC, access control), tenant networks, and event/guest Wi-Fi.
-
Configuring event-specific and secured client VLANs for specific requests from major conference clients.
-
Managing safe and controlled external access for maintenance parties, installers, and vendors.
Building-Related IT & AV Support (VESTAR Conference Center & Parking):
-
Supporting the IT and network components of building management systems, including smart building systems/HVAC, IP camera surveillance, access control, and the underground parking garage (ANPR, payment, and access integrations).
-
Understanding and supporting the AV network infrastructure in the conference center (such as network protocols for audio/Dante).
-
Acting as a 2nd-line point of contact for VESTAR event staff regarding more complex network or AV issues during conferences.
Microsoft 365 and Workplace Management (1st Line Support):
-
Managing the Microsoft 365 environment (user administration, permissions, Teams, SharePoint, and basic security/DLP).
-
Deploying, configuring, and managing end-user devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers) for approximately 25 employees.
-
Providing accessible, friendly 1st-line user support and resolving daily IT incidents.
Vendor & Partner Management:
-
Directing and following up on specialized external IT, network, and AV partners (such as Simac for network monitoring/backup and Blue Moon for AV support).
-
Monitoring SLAs, performance, and quote requests from suppliers.
Security, Audits, and Documentation:
-
Monitoring IT security and implementing action points from periodic external security assessments (at both network and software levels).
-
Keeping network diagrams, inventories, account permissions, licenses, and technical documentation up to date.
-
Contributing ideas and guiding the IT components for future new construction and renovation projects on campus.

-
Flexible reward program / cafeteria plan.
