IT / Project Engineer @ SERIS Security
AMKP04200
Function
The position of IT / Project Manager at SERIS Technology is a dual role that combines two major responsibilities. On the one hand you actively participate in various technical projects – from preparation to delivery – and on the other hand you act as a pillar in the field of infrastructure and networks for both the internal IT operation of SERIS and the customer-oriented solutions. So you are not just a coordinator, but really someone who is at the wheel of the projects and operations.
A large part of your time will be spent on the delivery of projects, where you are the point of contact for everything to do with servers, networks and the underlying IT infrastructure. The focus here is not on the VMS part but rather on setting up virtual environments, configuring networks, firewall settings, setting up servers, you name it. You provide the technical backbone of a project.
Tasks and responsibilities
As IT / Project Manager at SERIS Technology you will have a very diverse range of tasks, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure and networking:
- You are the key person for everything related to server and network issues. You build the infrastructure, you support colleagues with the more difficult technical questions, you guide juniors and you are the rock in the branding when incidents occur.
- After implementation, you stay involved. Customers who are already in production with a system may still experience questions or problems. You act as a second-line helpline. The after-sales service team focuses on the first line, but as soon as something more complex arises, it comes to you.
- You manage escalations. If something becomes really urgent, or if the impact is big with a customer, you are the one who takes over, assesses the situation and takes the right steps. Sometimes things have to change quickly, and then it is important that you keep your head cool and can make technical decisions that others can rely on.
- You will also participate in the 24/7 on-call service every eight weeks. In return, of course, you will receive an appropriate remuneration.
