Function
As a Data Engineer & BI Developer, you will be responsible for the further expansion and realisation of the Buildmat data warehouse, the development of a reporting environment, and the exploration and implementation of new AI capabilities.
The inflow of questions comes on the one hand from the current projects led by the colleagues from Business Applications (ERP shift to Business Central, Go live MS Dynamics CRM, connecting with webshops, …) and on the other from questions from the various business entities within the group.
This translates into connecting additional data sources and the further expansion of the set of dynamic reports and data insights. In this way, from your position, you make the difference for the sales, purchasing, finance, marketing, and logistics departments of the various Buildmat companies. You offer them new insights and support them in making data-driven decisions.
Profile
- You have completed a higher education (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree) and possess strong analytical skills.
- You have relevant experience in a similar role.
- You combine data insights with an interest in business processes.
- You have experience in creating, maintaining, and querying relational databases.
- You have experience with ETL, MS SQL Server, and Power BI.
- You have an interest in new AI and cloud applications and explore how they create business value.
- You always strive for optimization and actively contribute ideas on the use of new reporting.
- You are a proactive individual who takes ownership, dares to take initiative, and demonstrates strong self-organization skills.
- You are a communicative person and a team player who fosters effective collaborations with colleagues.
- You are flexible, hands-on, and have a can-do mentality.
