Function
As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing the development, deployment, and operational processes of IT solutions. You ensure seamless collaboration between development and operations teams to maximize the speed, reliability, and quality of IT solutions. Through automation and proactive management, you create a flexible, secure, and scalable IT environment, enabling VAB to quickly adapt to market changes and technological innovations.
This role contributes to VAB’s growth by increasing operational efficiency and providing a stable technological foundation. In doing so, technology becomes a driving force behind innovation, customer satisfaction, and VAB’s position as a market leader in mobility solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software development and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that code is built, tested, and deployed according to best practices.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep to automate infrastructure management.
- Set up and configure monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track infrastructure performance.
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with security best practices within the Azure environment, including IAM, network security, and policy management.
- Proactively manage operational systems and scale resources as needed.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with IT Solution Delivery & Support and IT Operations teams to ensure smooth operations and integration.
- Manage and optimize Azure Policies to maintain consistent and secure configurations.
- Troubleshoot and minimize the impact of operational incidents on services.
- Act as a bridge between teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across different IT streams within VAB.
Profile
- Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a medium to large enterprise.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure and experience in setting up and managing cloud environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within Azure, preferably using Bicep, or Terraform with the willingness to transition.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Experience with automation and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, or Python).
- Knowledge of Azure security and governance, including IAM, network security, and policy management.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging within Azure (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights).
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration, such as Docker.
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
- Experience with additional technologies is a plus (e.g., Zabbix, Linux), as well as knowledge of MS Dynamics (FO or Power Platform).
