Solution Architect ERP @ Studio 100

AMKP04485

Function

As a Solution Architect ERP, you will play a crucial role in transforming Studio 100 into a digitally mature, future-proof international organization. Your primary objective is to safeguard continuity and scale the Microsoft Dynamics 365 landscape, which serves as the operational backbone of the entire group. You will add immediate strategic value by working alongside the current Solution Architect as an equal sparring partner.

The greatest impact of your role lies in harmonizing business processes between the traditional media entities and the massive theme park division (Plopsa). By successfully guiding Plopsa’s migration from SAP to Dynamics 365, you will bring half of the group’s revenue into a single standardized, efficient ecosystem. In this position, you are the architect who maintains the right balance between corporate standards and the specific, complex needs of the theme parks.

Additionally, your added value lies in professionalizing external collaborations; you will take the lead in transforming the current fragmented vendor model into a strategic, cost-effective partnership with a single dedicated integration partner. In doing so, you transcend the purely technical aspect by acting as a crucial bridge between IT and management, including the CFO and various COOs.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect ERP, you are the driving force behind the further development, optimization, and international rollout of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 landscape within Studio 100. You combine strategic insight with operational decisiveness and play a key role in the digitalization and professionalization of the organization. As a subject matter expert, business partner, and change driver within the ERP domain, you will oversee the following six core areas:

  • ERP Ownership & Architecture: You share ownership of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and the broader ERP landscape. You safeguard the global architecture, data integrity, governance, and system quality to guarantee a scalable, future-proof, and internationally supported solution.

  • Strategic Roadmap & Continuous Improvement: You help shape the long-term ERP vision, aligned with the international growth strategy. You define and implement group-wide standards and best practices, and proactively identify optimization opportunities that contribute to further digitalization.

  • Process Optimization & Business Transformation: You analyze, challenge, and optimize financial and operational business processes to develop sustainable solutions for complex business challenges. You improve end-to-end processes and integrations—with special attention to financial streams, digital invoice processing (e.g., Peppol), and approval flows—while balancing global standardization with local needs.

  • International Implementations & Rollouts: You coordinate the implementation and rollout of Dynamics 365 to new entities and business units within the international group (including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Australia). You take the lead in strategic migration projects and ensure a consistent group standard, while respecting local legal and operational requirements.

  • Stakeholder & Business Management: You act as a full business partner for departments such as Finance, Operations, and Sales. You translate complex business needs into robust functional designs, advise stakeholders on system capabilities and impact analyses, and drive user adoption during change initiatives.

  • External Partners & Domain Leadership: You functionally manage external implementation partners and consultants, critically evaluating their technical proposals on quality, scope, planning, and budget. As a senior expert and central point of contact, you bridge the gap between business objectives and technology, contributing to the development of a mature ERP organization within a shared service model.

Profile

  • Education & Experience: You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an economic or IT-related field (e.g., Business Engineering, Computer Science), or equivalent through relevant and proven experience.

  • ERP Expertise: You have at least 6 years of senior-level experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or its predecessor, AX) and possess deep ERP expertise.

  • System Integrations: You have strong experience with complex ERP environments and integrations, and you understand how different applications and systems connect end-to-end.

  • Process Knowledge: You possess extensive functional knowledge of financial and operational business processes, with a strong focus on Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and invoicing and approval flows.

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: You are capable of challenging complex business and IT problems, critically questioning decisions, and consistently providing well-founded, constructive alternatives.

  • Communication & Collaboration: You combine an assertive and clear communication style with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.

  • Solution-Oriented Mindset: You are service-oriented and solution-driven, actively thinking along with the business to achieve workable and sustainable solutions.

  • International Environment: You are a strong communicator who transitions smoothly between business and IT stakeholders within an international context.

  • Language Skills: You have full professional proficiency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus for international projects.

Studio 100: From Local Production House to Global Entertainment Giant

Studio 100 was founded in 1996 in Schelle by Hans Bourlon, Gert Verhulst, and Danny Verbiest as a production company for children's shows. What began with just five employees and the iconic show "Samson & Gert" quickly grew into a massive success among young audiences, driven by hits like Kabouter Plop. By the late 1990s, the company rapidly expanded its portfolio to include musicals, films, and theater.

In 1999, Studio 100 took a crucial step into the theme park industry with the opening of Plopsaland in De Panne. This successful move laid the foundation for Plopsa, the theme park division that now accounts for half of the company's total revenue.

The Theme Park Ecosystem

This network has since grown to eight parks both domestically and abroad, including Plopsaqua, Plopsa Indoor, and the German Holiday Park, which together attract 3.5 million visitors annually. With its own theaters, shops, and the Plopsaland Theater Hotel, the company offers a complete entertainment ecosystem.

Today, Studio 100 has evolved into one of the largest independent family entertainment companies in the world. With over 900 employees and offices spread across multiple continents, the group remains a powerhouse market leader in the Benelux, perfectly balancing local roots with continuous international growth.

International Expansion and Diversification

Starting in 2007, Studio 100 set its sights abroad with the launch of an international distribution branch in Munich. Its global position was spectacularly strengthened in 2008 through the acquisition of the EM Entertainment catalog, bringing iconic brands such as Maya de Bij, Heidi, and Wickie de Viking into its hands. That same year, the entertainment giant expanded with Studio 100 Animation in Paris and the acquisition of the Australian animation studio Flying Bark Productions.

Around 2010, the company continued its diversification by launching its own cooking channel, Njam!, and an internal department for international film distribution. The global animation division was further bolstered in 2018 with the establishment of Studio Isar Animation. In that same year, the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theater opened in Puurs, quickly achieving iconic status within the Flemish theater landscape. Until its permanent closure in the summer of 2025, mega-spectacles such as 40-45 and Red Star Line drew over 1.9 million visitors to this unique venue.
