By working closely with internal and external stakeholders to successfully realize projects and by playing an active role in further developing the maturity of IT project management, you will contribute directly to the digital transformation and DP World's objective to excel in operational excellence and customer focus.
This role is essential for the smooth execution of critical IT infrastructure projects that contribute to the operational reliability, scalability, and digital transformation of the organization. In addition to leading teams in building and maintaining the implemented infrastructure, you will also manage and evaluate potential risks and sustainability.
Your responsibilities include:

Project Planning and Execution: Drawing up detailed project plans, allocating the right resources, and strictly managing schedules, ensuring that IT infrastructure projects are successfully executed and delivered to contribute to the technological growth of the organization.

Stakeholder Management: In this role, you will work intensively with both internal IT and business teams as well as external partners, taking responsibility for proactive communication and tight expectation management throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Risk and Issue Management: Identifying and managing risks and issues at an early stage through concrete mitigating actions.

Budget and Resource Management: In addition to substantive steering, you are fully responsible for the project budget and the deployment of resources, closely monitoring the scope, planning, and quality within the set financial limits.

Quality and Compliance: You ensure that all project deliverables strictly comply with internal quality standards and relevant regulations, including all security requirements, while guaranteeing a smooth handover to the operational teams. Furthermore, you focus on continuous improvement by thoroughly evaluating completed projects and structurally optimizing processes and approaches based on lessons learned.
Profile
Experience and Background

Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Economics, a technical field, or equivalent through professional experience.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within an infrastructure environment.

Operational Bridge: Proven experience in bridging the gap between operational management and project execution, preferably within IT infrastructure projects.

Methodologies & Tools: Proficiency in project methodologies (e.g., stage-gate) and fluency in tools such as MS Project. You also bring experience in implementing structure and standardization within project environments.

Technical Breadth: Knowledge of a wide range of technologies, including storage and network architecture, data centers, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Project Maturity: Experience in increasing project maturity levels, for example, by developing processes, portfolio management, or project templates.

Financial & Lifecycle Management: Experience with projects at the intersection of CAPEX and OPEX, such as hardware lifecycle management (printers, data centers), and familiarity with project budgets of €5M or more.

Infra Project Manager @ DP World
DP World – The strategic hub in the Port of Antwerp
Located in the Waaslandhaven at the Deurganckdok, DP World Antwerp is a leading container terminal and a vital hub within the global logistics chain, supported by a team of over 750 colleagues. The company has a direct impact on developing economies and fostering growing prosperity.
As part of the international DP World group, headquartered in Dubai with over 100,000 employees worldwide, DP World Antwerp plays a crucial role in Belgium by ensuring the smooth flow of goods between shipping lines and transport via road, rail, and inland waterways.
At the Antwerp Gateway terminal, trucks, trains, barges, and the world’s largest ocean-going vessels converge. The terminal is equipped with 15 powerful quay cranes (QCs) capable of handling even the largest container ships. Furthermore, DP World Antwerp is the only terminal in the Port of Antwerp utilizing fully automated stacking cranes (ASCs), which ensures increased efficiency and safety on the yard.
Last year, a major investment round of 220 million euros was completed. By the end of 2026, capacity will be increased to 3.7 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) through extensive automation and infrastructure works. For the 2026-2027 period, the focus shifts to a new five-year cycle aimed at "growth within boundaries." This means DP World will maximize the optimization of yields and operational cycles within its existing capacity.
In addition to infrastructure, DP World invests in smart digital solutions. Through the integration of advanced IT systems, customs services, and innovative tools, the logistics process for customers is made simpler, faster, and more transparent. Intermodal connectivity ensures that goods find their way seamlessly to all major European markets via rail, water, and road transport.
Solutions and Services
Antwerp Gateway is renowned among its customers for its unrivaled productivity in Europe, advanced technology, and excellent intermodal connectivity. Antwerp Gateway is a joint venture between DP World Antwerp Holding (60%), Cosco (20%), Terminal Link (10%), and Duisport Group (10%).

Empty Depot Services (EDS): EDS is DP World’s wholly-owned off-dock depot on the Left Bank. They offer storage, maintenance, and repair for empty containers traveling to and from Antwerp Gateway. The depot is centrally located and easily accessible via road and inland shipping.

Value Added Services: DP World Antwerp is equipped to load or unload products with exceptional weight and dimensions that arrive or depart as breakbulk on container ships, inland barges, rail wagons, and trucks.

HUPAC Intermodal (train operator): On the Right Bank, DP World operates a 53,000 m² terminal directly connected to the Noorderlaan. The facility features a five-track capacity and three electric gantry cranes, processing up to twelve train pairs daily. The terminal specializes in rapid transshipment between rail and truck for both maritime and continental traffic and holds a permit for the handling of hazardous materials.
