Responsibilities
As a Data Integration Architect, you are the key link between complex data systems and business strategies. You play a vital role in ensuring data reliability and efficiency, helping financial institutions remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market. You are responsible for designing robust and future-proof data architectures, ensuring seamless integration between various systems and platforms. Additionally, you ensure compliance with laws and regulations and set the technical direction for internal applications. You work closely with stakeholders to develop technical solutions that align with business needs, safeguarding both the security and availability of critical data. By continuously improving processes and introducing new technologies, you contribute to an innovative, secure, and efficient data environment.
Tasks
- Optimize, analyze, and improve complex data flows between legacy systems, cloud platforms, and modern data systems.
- In collaboration with the Cyber Security Expert and the Senior Network & Infrastructure Specialist, you ensure that all data processes comply with regulations such as GDPR and Basel III/IV. You also jointly develop and implement strategies to optimally protect sensitive financial data against data breaches and cyber threats.
- Oversee the technical choices for applications used internally.
- Design solutions that ensure data integrity, consistent information, and real-time availability.
- Work closely with, among others, business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify and implement new technologies and tools that enhance the performance and efficiency of data integration.
- Ensure thorough documentation of architectural designs and share best practices with teams.
Profile
Experience and Background
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field — but just as important is your motivation and drive to grow with us.
- Extensive experience in data integration, system design, or architecture (within the financial sector).
- In-depth knowledge of integration tools and platforms such as Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend, or Microsoft Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with API design (REST, SOAP), ETL processes, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- Understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data vault, and big data solutions such as Hadoop and Spark.
