Function
The BI Specialist is a new role within Steelforce and plays a crucial part in the company’s digital transformation. Until now, Steelforce has not been a data-driven organization, but with the transition to a cloud-based infrastructure and collaborations with external partners, the company aims to elevate its data capabilities. The BI Specialist will be responsible for setting up, developing, and managing the Business Intelligence (BI) environment while fostering a data-driven culture within Steelforce.
This role is essential in providing commercial, financial, and operational teams with actionable insights, data analysis, and reporting. The BI Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement the best data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the BI platform in collaboration with external partners.
- Create dashboards and reports that support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Train and guide colleagues in the effective use of data, reports, and AI applications.
- Optimize existing data systems and workflows to improve efficiency within Steelforce.
- Provide user support at both system and application levels.
- Advise on technical capabilities and implement improvements in data processing and analysis.
- Ensure a seamless integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the BI environment.
- Actively contribute to Steelforce’s transition into a data-driven organization.
Profile
Experience & Background
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a BI-related role.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
- Experience with data warehousing and setting up data models is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of AI and its applications in data analysis is beneficial.
- Experience in an international B2B environment is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and proactively in a new role where processes and structures still need to be established.
- A hands-on mentality is essential.
- Ability to clearly translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player who collaborates easily with both internal and external partners.
- Interest in and affinity with business processes such as finance, sales, and operations.
- Willingness to train and support internal users in using BI tools.
Language Skills
- English is essential, as Steelforce operates internationally.
- Dutch is a strong asset for communication within the Antwerp headquarters.
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus, given the company’s international context.
