Function
As a Backend Developer, you work in a dynamic team responsible for developing innovative features, optimizing the matching domain, and improving the user experience. You are part of the backend tribe, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.
On a daily basis, you are hands-on, working to take the product to the next level in development, testing, and architecture. Your previous experience and ideas will be highly valued in this team.
Analysis and Design:
- Evaluating technical options, designing technical analyses and documentation, estimating task complexity.
Technical Implementation:
- Working with the tech stack (Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ), writing and maintaining efficient and readable code.
- Interest in Kubernetes, Azure, and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
Collaboration:
- Communicating with developers, designers, integration partners, and product owners.
- Participating in daily stand-ups and code reviews within a Scrum team.
Technical Focus:
- Maintenance and optimization of the matching engine.
- Automatic reallocation in case of cancellations.
- Working on data learning to achieve better matching results.
Technological Challenges:
- Development of a public API for better external integrations.
- Restructuring the platform with a focus on scalability and operational continuity.
- Maintenance of the matching engine and implementing data learning techniques for better results.

Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in backend development.
- Strong in designing and improving frameworks.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and flexible.
