Purpose of the Role
For the ‘Security’ Competence Center, we are looking for a Team Lead. The team focuses on delivering projects for clients.
The role of Team Lead consists of two responsibilities. The primary focus is the role of People Lead, where you will be responsible for building, supporting, growing, and developing the team. Additionally, you will also take on an operational role as a Security Engineer and work on projects alongside the team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
People Lead (50%)
- You are a true people coach. You take a positive and personal approach, supporting and advising employees on their individual performance and growth. e-BO places great importance on employee well-being, which you monitor during 1-on-1s. You escalate where necessary.
- You develop individual development plans and follow up on them to evaluate whether they are successfully implemented.
- You are responsible for capacity management. You assess what competencies the team needs to fully take on its delivery role. You are also responsible for tracking certification needs.
- You are responsible for team and individual performance. Within your team, you are responsible for evaluations, hiring, and firing. You are the first point of contact and oversee the daily operations.
- You are responsible for micro-planning, ensuring the best project planning based on the level of seniority required, and adjusting it as needed—including tracking and final approval of timesheets.
- You are part of the leadership team, along with the other people leads, which meets regularly to discuss challenges related to people management.
Security Engineer (50%)
- As a Security Engineer, you will contribute significantly to the design and implementation of projects. You will be involved based on your experience and knowledge level.
- You help determine the design and architecture of security setups.
- You guide clients in finding suitable solutions for their security challenges.
- You provide documentation on ongoing projects, processes, and procedures and offer coaching/training to colleagues.
- You continuously expand your knowledge through training.
Reporting
You will report to COO Serge Verborgh.
Profile
Experience and Background
- You have completed higher education in IT or equivalent through experience.
- You possess a solid foundation in security
- Knowledge of the following is a plus:
- E-BO Security Team products: SOC, NDR, IEC62443, IAM
- Security research of potential incidents
- Review external Threat Intelligence reporting
- Consult on CVE product risks
- You have at least some experience in a similar people lead role or show clear ambition/interest to grow in this area
