Function
The IT Business Partner at VMA is much more than a link between IT and the business; they are the driving force behind VMA’s digital progress. In this role, increasing VMA’s digital maturity is central: from understanding the current application landscape and optimizing system interactions, to guiding strategic projects such as the implementation of the new ERP system Dynamics 365 and harmonizing core processes like maintenance, Health & Safety, and project management.
Business Analysis & Requirements – 30%

Translate business needs and challenges into concrete IT roadmaps and projects.

Analyze processes and applications across all legal entities and business units.

Identify optimization opportunities, including innovation and process improvement.

Prepare business cases and project proposals in consultation with management and stakeholders.
Project Management – 15% to 20%

Lead IT projects from scope, timing, and budget to successful delivery.

Coordinate internal teams and external partners during implementations, such as ERP Dynamics 365 and other business applications.

Monitor progress, risks, and deliverables, and report to management and steering committees.
Stakeholder Management – 25%

Actively manage relationships with General Managers, Directors, and project and maintenance managers across all entities.

Create buy-in and support for digital initiatives and change programs.

Align priorities and project plans with various business profiles and roles.
Change Management & Adoption – 15%

Coach, train, and support users in adopting new systems and processes.

Support the organization in its digital transformation and increase digital maturity.

Ensure compliance, security, and best practices in IT solutions.
Other Responsibilities (ongoing, integrated across themes) – 5%

Monitor IT strategy and ensure new solutions align with it.

Advise on technological trends and their application in the business context.

Support harmonization and development of the application landscape within the One VMA initiative.
Profile
Experience and Background
-
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Information Management, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Strong experience in project and resource management.

Experience with digital transformation, change management, and stakeholder management.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and project management tools.

Technical knowledge of IT architectures, enterprise systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and ITIL.

VMA has been the Belgian specialist in multi-technical installations and technology for over 50 years, active in both buildings and industry. The company originated from a collaboration of family businesses and entrepreneurs with a passion for technology and innovation, including the founders of VMA in Sint-Martens-Latem, VMA Nizet in Louvain‑la‑Neuve, and VMA Vanderhoydoncks in Alken.
