Function
The Information Architect will centralize and structure information management and data flows within the agency. This role supports the implementation of European guidelines and assists in establishing a future-oriented data model and IT architecture, ensuring that energy and climate information is managed consistently, accessibly, and efficiently.
The Information Architect leads the modernization of outdated systems, consolidates databases, and develops a strategy to better link and make data accessible, with a focus on both user-friendliness and compliance with regulations.

Profile
Experience and Background
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information and data management, including previous roles as a data architect, information architect, or in a similar position within a complex organization.
- Experience with databases, data modeling, data integration, and data governance.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools is essential.
- An affinity for the energy and construction sectors is a plus, particularly with respect to European directives and regulations.
- Experience in leading projects, preferably in an Agile or hybrid environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Language proficiency
Within the Flemish Government (Vlaanderen Connect), it is essential that employees are proficient in the Dutch language. This is crucial for effective communication and collaboration within the team and with external partners. Knowledge of English is considered a valuable asset.
