Function
The Support & Systems Engineer is the central figure in the IT team and the vital link between technology and colleagues. This role combines operational excellence with strategic contribution. You are the go-to person for the complete end-to-end user experience: ensuring flawless IT service delivery, proactively handling all support requests, and training colleagues in digital efficiency. At the same time, you actively participate in core system administration for critical environments, including the Microsoft 365/Azure stack.
User Support & Operations (± 50%)
- This includes full responsibility for all incoming IT requests, combining both first-line and second-line support responsibilities.
- Integrated Helpdesk: Handling all incoming tickets, ranging from technical issues to advisory and user guidance requests (e.g. within Microsoft 365).
- End-User Support: Providing all-round IT support to internal users across all locations.
- Hardware & Software Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining endpoints (laptops, smartphones) and applications.
- Training: Organizing and delivering user trainings to improve digital efficiency and security awareness.
- Onboarding / Offboarding: Responsible for all IT-related processes for new starters and departing employees.
- External Escalation: Ensuring efficient escalation and follow-up with external IT partners for complex issues that cannot be resolved internally.
System Administration & IT Projects (± 40%)
- You play an active role in managing the core infrastructure and contribute to Incendin’s digitalization strategy.
- Core Systems Management: Managing and optimizing central systems: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, and the data center infrastructure.
- IT Projects: Supporting or leading various IT projects (including ERP, CRM, and reporting), from planning through rollout. The exact scope depends on your expertise and current projects.
- Security: Actively contributing to IT security through implementation of best practices and incident follow-up.
- Innovation & Advisory: Staying up to date with the latest IT trends (cloud, automation, AI) and proactively advising on the integration of new technologies. You are encouraged to bring forward your own innovative ideas.
Documentation & Administration (± 10%)
- Key activities for professionalizing the internal IT team.
- Knowledge Base & Documentation: Documenting procedures and maintaining an up-to-date IT knowledge base.
- Asset Management: Keeping accurate records of all IT assets, licenses, subscriptions, and telecom services (e.g. phone numbers, mobile plans).
Profile
Experience and Background
- You have completed a higher education degree in IT or have equivalent experience;
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience;
- Initial professional experience as a Support / System Engineer;
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, Active Directory, Intune, and Windows environments;
- Experience with network administration and/or security concepts is a plus.
