AM.S04551

Function

As a fast-growing, international player, The Cookware Company aims to strengthen its market position by seamlessly combining operational excellence, digital innovation, and agility with a pragmatic, customer-centric approach. The organization strives for sustainable and organic growth, supporting its global entities and processes efficiently with scalable technology—without losing sight of local dynamics and entrepreneurial spirit.

Within this ambitious context, the core purpose of the new Group Business Applications Manager position is to take full ownership and lead the professionalization of the global application landscape, particularly centered on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and its associated integrations. The role forms a crucial bridge between organizational strategy and technological execution, ensuring the foundation of all applications remains robust, stable, and future-proof. By ensuring better alignment across global applications, the role safeguards the continuity of business-critical processes, including logistics, sales, finance, and integrations.

At the same time, the position aims to introduce structure, formality, and governance within the IT organization and application management framework, relieving the operational team so they can focus on core tasks. Acting as a strategic yet pragmatic sparring partner for the business, the manager maintains a harmonious balance between the commercial departments' high drive for change and the necessary application stability and risk mitigation. Additionally, the role oversees the optimal deployment and alignment of internal teams, regional stakeholders, and external IT partners to better distribute knowledge and maximize return on investment.

  • Application Strategy, Processes & Innovation:

    • Define and roll out the global application strategy, centered around the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform as its primary foundation.

    • Optimize and harmonize core business processes (such as intercompany processes, customer collection, sales, logistics, and manufacturing) across international entities using a pragmatic approach (standardizing where logical, customizing where necessary).

    • Safeguard and strengthen the critical integration landscape (EDI, B2B/B2C, retail) that processes the majority of order flows.

    • Explore innovative applications in AI, BI, and PIM portals to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Closely track market developments and present well-founded architecture and improvement proposals to the IT Director and CFO.

  • Project & Program Management:

    • Manage and execute the strategic application roadmap (including the D365 go-live in Italy, further manufacturing rollouts, new B2B portals, and a new PIM system).

    • Act as a hands-on Project Manager for large-scale projects, including monitoring corresponding project budgets and delivery timelines.

  • Governance, Documentation & Quality:

    • Introduce and structure formal procedures, change management processes (CAB), and clear guidelines for application management.

    • Drive and facilitate process documentation and Business Process Management (BPM) within both IT and operational departments.

  • Stakeholder Management & Change Management:

    • Serve as the central IT partner and sparring partner for department heads across Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Inventory.

    • Strike the right balance between the business's commercial push for change and the essential stability of core systems.

    • Actively guide employees and key users through change processes to foster buy-in and adoption of new ways of working.

  • People Management & Team Development:

    • Hierarchically lead an international team of two Business Analysts (at corporate level and across regions).

    • Coach and support team members (from junior to senior level) to foster their professional growth and ensure adherence to best practices.

    • Ensure better knowledge distribution across regions (EMEA, US, APAC), eliminating single-location reliance.

  • Vendor & Partner Management:

    • Manage relationships with external IT partners and integrators (such as preferred partner Delaware and local D365 providers).

    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the optimal balance between internal capacity and external support.

    • Monitor SLAs, enforce delivery quality, and negotiate project scopes and agreements.

  • Project Management & Governance: Hands-on PM experience driving large-scale projects and budgets, combined with the drive to establish essential structure, formal procedures (CAB), and process documentation.

  • Change & Stakeholder Management: Strong communicator and bridge-builder who actively listens to the business (Sales, Logistics, Finance), builds buy-in, and strikes a balance between a drive for change and system stability.

  • Vendor Management & Integrations: Experience managing external partners (such as Delaware) and strong affinity with integration landscapes (EDI, webshops) and innovations (such as BI, PIM, and AI).

  • Personality: Pragmatic, flexible, and down-to-earth mindset, with the ability to act as a key connector, facilitate change, and bring the business along.

  • Language Skills: English and ideally Dutch as well.

Offer

  • Strategic and Operational Impact: Opportunity to shape a brand-new role, lead a global D365 F&O transformation, and directly influence the digital maturity of a fast-growing company.

  • Flat Hierarchy and High Visibility: Work within a very flat organization with short lines of decision-making, reporting directly to executive management (IT Director and CFO).

  • Pioneering with Modern Technology: Room to build a future-proof application and integration landscape, including exploring innovative technologies such as AI, BI, and PIM portals.

  • International Scope: A global footprint (EMEA, US, APAC) managing international teams and partners, combined with a manageable travel requirement (approx. 20%).

  • Entrepreneurial and Informal Culture: Join an ambitious scale-up environment that combines strong organic growth (30%) with a down-to-earth, hands-on mindset and a warm company culture.

Group Application Manager @ The Cookware Company

The Cookware Company was founded in 2007 by Belgian childhood friends Wim De Veirman and Jan Heskens. The company was launched after they discovered that traditional non-stick pans released harmful substances, such as PFAS and PFOA, when overheated. Driven by the ambition to introduce a healthy alternative to the market, they developed and patented Thermolonâ„¢, a ceramic non-stick coating derived from natural raw materials like sand. Through its flagship brand GreenPan, the company first introduced this innovation in the United States, where it achieved rapid growth almost overnight via TV home shopping and major retail chains.

Its American success served as the springboard for rapid global expansion across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. To maintain complete control over quality and the supply chain, the company quickly adopted a vertically integrated business model. Under this approach, the company fully manages its own R&D, chemical coating formulations, manufacturing across its own factories in China and Europe, and global distribution. Through strategic acquisitions of iconic and heritage cookware brands, it steadily expanded its market footprint. Today, alongside GreenPan, the brand portfolio includes renowned names such as the premium Dutch brand BK, Royal Van Kempen & Begeer, Germany's Merten & Storck, Kochstar, GreenLife, and GreenChef.

Over the years, the product range has broadened significantly beyond traditional frying pans. The Cookware Company now offers a complete assortment of cookware, bakeware, high-quality knives, cutlery, and kitchen utensils, extending even to small kitchen appliances like waffle makers, air fryers, and slow cookers. Headquartered globally in Drongen (Ghent) with regional headquarters in New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, the group serves over 100 countries. Sales are conducted through a diverse hybrid network combining major brick-and-mortar retailers, global e-commerce giants, B2B partnerships, and direct-to-consumer (B2C) webstores.

The company has evolved from a challenger startup into a global player employing thousands of people, with annual revenue surpassing hundreds of millions of euros. Even at this scale, the group continues to deliver impressive organic annual growth rates of around 30%. Combining a pioneering spirit, in-house manufacturing capabilities, and a sharp focus on sustainable consumer trends, The Cookware Company remains one of the most influential and fastest-growing companies in the industry today.
