At Equans Belux, you have the opportunity to actively shape the organization’s digital security. As a Cyber Security Operations Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving all key cybersecurity initiatives within the IT team in Brussels.
In this role, you ensure that projects are executed not only on time but also efficiently and according to the highest quality standards. You translate complex risks and security challenges into concrete actions, bring together stakeholders from IT and the business, and continuously monitor the progress of all initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing cybersecurity programs and projects: planning, scheduling, and monitoring milestones.

Tracking and closing security actions: assigning owners, following up on progress, removing blockers, and ensuring timely completion.

Developing and maintaining reporting: preparing regular reports, maintaining dashboards, and creating risk registers and executive summaries.

Collecting risk and control evidence: gathering artifacts, validating improvements, and preparing audit support materials.

Transparent communication with stakeholders: keeping the CISO, security team, IT, and business owners informed about progress and risks.

Incident follow-up: coordinating remediation actions, documenting lessons learned, and tracking progress.

Ensuring compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulations.

Identifying process bottlenecks and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Profile
Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security or IT.
Experience and Skills

3–5 years of experience and maturity in cybersecurity project management, governance, or operations.

Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Office 365.

Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls is a plus.

Strong program and project management skills: planning, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution.

Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and precision in all work.

Experience working in team-oriented and collaborative environments, while taking initiative independently.

Proactive problem-solving skills and continuous process improvement mindset.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Language Skills

Fluent in Dutch and English (all written communication in English), with proficiency in French considered a strong asset in an international and diverse work environment.
