AM.S04509

Function

The ICT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining all IT systems to ensure stability and high performance, as well as delivering digital transformation in a cost-conscious manner. He/she combines operational hands-on support with project management and the further operationalization of the ICT roadmap.

  • Right-hand to the COO: Operationalizing, prioritizing, and executing the IT roadmap and its associated projects.

  • Face of IT: Serving as the bridge and daily point of contact between IT and the business/end users.

  • Digitalization and Efficiency: Standardizing the fragmented application landscape, optimizing business processes, and increasing operational efficiency across the entire value chain (from sales to dismantling and storage).

  • Stability and Continuity: Ensuring a smooth-running IT foundation from day one, addressing helpdesk requests, and turning ad-hoc "firefighting" into structural, recurring solutions and documentation.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively managing external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Operational Management and Support

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the business and end users regarding daily IT issues and updates, with the goal of structurally reducing support requests.

  • Building and maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment that supports daily business operations and prepares for future enhancements.

  • Increasing digital maturity by focusing on enhanced user adoption, training, and support for new tools or updates.

Roadmap & Project Management

  • Collaborating with the COO to flesh out the IT roadmap and leading digital transformation projects from start to finish: ensuring the effective implementation of new systems and processes, including staff training and change management.

  • Coordinating internal and external stakeholders, such as IT suppliers, project teams, and operational departments.

  • Supporting migrations and upgrades.

  • Preparing and delivering business cases for new investments or optimizations.

Business and Process Analysis

  • Analyzing internal business processes and translating them into digital efficiency gains and automation.

  • Analyzing organizational needs and translating them into concrete projects that improve operational efficiency.

  • Identifying new technological trends and translating them into tangible project proposals, such as initiating AI journeys and other automation projects.

Profile

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in an IT role, such as IT Business Analyst or Project Manager in an SME environment.

  • Strong knowledge of and interest in digitalization and data: ERP systems, process automation, and data analysis.

  • Broad and proven experience with software implementations and data management.

  • A generalist with sound conceptual knowledge of IT infrastructure and security.

  • Affinity with data/reporting (PowerBI) and an interest in the pragmatic business applications of AI are a plus.

  • A proactive bridge builder between various company departments, skilled at translating business needs into concrete IT solutions.

  • Experience within an SME environment or a company in a strong growth phase (buy-and-build) is a major asset.

  • Proficient in Dutch and English.

Offer

  • Greenfield Opportunity: You will have the unique opportunity to shape the IT vision and department from scratch within a fast-growing company. Since you are starting with a blank canvas, you have complete freedom to define and give direction to your role.

  • Direct Impact: You will be the key figure who, together with the COO, drives Creaplan's digital transformation. You see opportunities, dare to look beyond a strict task description, and are given the freedom to take proactive ownership and optimize processes.

  • Entrepreneurial Culture: Short decision-making lines, a no-nonsense atmosphere, strong engagement, high team spirit, and very low employee turnover.

  • Competitive Salary Package: Includes comprehensive fringe benefits.

ICT Coördinator @ Creaplan

Creaplan is a leading Belgian company specializing in experiential marketing. Creaplan builds high-quality exhibition stands, displays, and interiors for both SMEs and multinationals across Europe and in various sectors (automotive, food, machine building, etc.). The company is headquartered in Nazareth (near Ghent) and has transformed in recent years into an international group, the Creaplan Group, with sites in the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, and Belgium.

The company's core activities are divided into three major pillars:

  • Exhibition Stand Building: Designing and realizing exhibition stands from A to Z using innovative concepts and striking creations with exclusively high-quality materials.

  • Interior Design & Fitting: Creaplan also designs and fits out permanent physical spaces, such as showrooms, office spaces, meeting pods, reception halls, and experience centers.

  • Displays: Creating eye-catching displays and point-of-sale materials to make brands stand out in stores or at events.

Creaplan was founded in 1994 by Dirk Deleu. Together with his wife, Ann Vancoillie, he built the family business. Since 2018, the company has gained significant momentum through strategic choices and acquisitions. In 2019, Michael Debaveye (CEO) and Vincent Lievens (COO) took over daily management.

To expand their European footprint, they acquired the stand-building operations of Deusjevoo and Bulik, among others. In 2021, the acquisition of the Dutch company For Live followed, and last year saw the acquisition of Ghent-based stand builder Rebooth and the Belgian audiovisual company Revipix. As a result, the core activities expanded to include interior design and displays. In June 2024, the investment company KeBeK exited the business. Management and the current family shareholders have taken full control to independently pursue European growth.
