You own the creation and delivery of the IT roadmap for Belgium ensuring alignment to the TME (Toyota Motor Europe) strategy, Inchcape Accelerate strategy and local business requirements.

You are the senior IT person in Belgium to work with the market Executive Team on IT strategy and roadmap as well as IT budgeting and a senior local escalation point for IT service issues.

The IT function is aligned functionally (rather than by market) across Europe. This role will be part of the Technology Strategy & Projects function for Europe. A key part of this role is the ability to leverage this functionally aligned organisation. Through this structure there is also an opportunity and expectation to be involved in initiatives that are wider than just the Belgium market.

Inchcape also has a strong global delivery methodology through core Global Platforms and global Digital Delivery Centres (based in Asia and LatAm). A key part of this role is leveraging this delivery capability to deliver the agreed priorities.

The role requires a proactive mindset to actively work with the local executive team to seek opportunities, own the local IT strategy, and be seen as a true senior business partner. You must be able to work successfully in the wider regional and global IT organisation to ensure the local requirements and priorities are delivered using solutions that are aligned to the overall company IT strategy. Being able to influence in an international, matrix governed organisation is a key factor of success in this role

Tasks and responsibilities

1. Strategy 

  • Work with the local senior team to agree the IT roadmap aligned to the TME and Inchcape strategies and local business priorities, creating one overall roadmap for the market.
  • Publish and communicate the roadmap and keep it regularly refreshed as priorities change.
  • Ensure the roadmap and funding are aligned.
  • Drive a mindset of leveraging Group, regional or TME solutions, keeping local solutions to an absolute minimum

​2. Delivery

  • Deliver the agreed portfolio of projects on time, to budget and to the agreed requirements and quality.
  • Ensure the defined benefits are tracked and delivered.
  • Manage the demand pipeline for new projects ensuring a rigorous process for agreeing which possible projects are taken forward.
  • Ensure a rigorous and consistent project governance process is in place (in line with the global IT governance process) covering the full life cycle of the project, from inception and sign off though to delivery, handover to support and benefits realisation.

3. Team

  • Manage the local projects team.
  • Ensure delivery through the Global Platforms and Digital Delivery Centres is maximised to optimise the strategic landscape and cost of delivery and ongoing support.

4. IT Relationship   

  • Be the senior IT contact point for the Belgium market.
  • Be a proactive member of the Belgium Senior Management Team, helping drive the local strategy.
  • Seek out opportunities to drive the Belgium business forward through the use of technology and by adopting the Toyota Motor Europe or Inchcape strategies.
  • Own the local IT budgeting process and cost management.
  • Have an overall view of the IT delivery in the market and be the escalation point for any service issues.

  • £ 1 million CAPEX

Profiel

Background and experience

  • Greater than 5 years Senior IT management experience, working at an Executive team level.
  • Proven track record of building, communicating and delivering IT strategies/roadmaps.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to a high standard.
  • Proven track record of managing high performing teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering in a complex international, matrix run, organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all management levels including at Executive level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and influencing skills.
