Business Process Analyst @ Milliken



As a Business Process Analyst, you will be the dedicated owner of running IT projects that support the EMEA chemical business operational systems and processes. In this role you will report to the Business Supply Chain Manager EMEA and work closely with the business process team in the US for global projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You work out processes that align with daily practice to gain the highest efficiency in the way we work

  • You are the link between the US business process division and the regional sales, technical and backoffice team

  • You own and drive the progress of the IT and business process related global projects, e.g. material master process, EU reporting CRM upgrades, digitization projects. You translate the impact and improvements of the global projects on the EMEA business.

  • You set up, maintain, and improve interfaces between the acquired entities. On short term this means install and improve processes to control the stand-alone activities. On the longer term prepare the scenario for integration into Milliken systems.

  • You own the process and improvements of the IT and business processes related to external 3rd service providers, like warehouse & transport providers. 


During the first months at Milliken Chemical, you will be teamed up with subject matter experts. You will be able to take up a listening role in project teams and learn about current running projects. You will learn how the Milliken processes work.

Examples of new projects are:

  • There have been multiple acquisitions in Europe: joining the project teams and learning everything involved with aligning business processes during an acquisition.

  • Moving Milliken Chemical to a standard CRM platform. Today each of the divisions have been using their own individualized CRM platforms. The company has made the decision to go forward with one standard platform. Responsibilities of the Business Process Analyst include helping the EMEA colleagues go forward with this new platform. 

  • Milliken is going through a large digital transformation. As Business Process Analyst you will gain an understanding of attribute-based planning for supply network planning (ABP), which is an add-on SAP solution.


Background and experience


  • You have a master’s or bachelor degree in a Business related field.

  • You have experience in process project management; experience on an international level is a plus.

  • You are experienced in the analysis, design, verification, and deployment phases of system implementation life cycle.

  • You have an analytical & problem-solving mindset.

  • You have a strong drive, sense of initiative and ownership and you act proactively.

  • Your communication skills and teamwork skills ensure that you can easily interact with business members and operational teams to understand the needs and priorities.

  • You have a good knowledge of SAP, Sharepoint, SQL.

  • You are very fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages are a plus (German, French)

  • You are willing to travel according to ongoing projects in Europe and to work with the team in US (quarterly).

  • You are able to work in the Ghent office on a regular basis.
