Function
As a Test Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software development processes within Meat&More. You are responsible for developing and managing the Quality Improvement Roadmap, working closely with various stakeholders to implement continuous improvements in testing processes. You will be dealing with a mix of custom-built legacy applications and modern, newly developed applications.
Responsibilities (in order of time allocation):
Maintaining, Monitoring, and Defining the Quality Improvement Roadmap:
You are responsible for defining and maintaining the Quality Improvement Roadmap for the IT department. You monitor progress, coordinate actions, and align with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you regularly report results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. In challenging situations, you make decisions and act as a key point of contact to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement within the IT department.
Developing a Test Strategy:
You create a test strategy that covers all levels of the software development lifecycle. This includes defining and documenting standardized testing processes, such as agile testing, API testing, and regression testing. You implement test automation and compile a Quality Book with best practices. Additionally, you ensure consistency by developing a uniform framework for test cases and reporting the progress of regression tests to stakeholders.
Coaching Test Engineers:
In your role, you coach the Test Engineers and support their professional development in both soft skills and technical knowledge. You facilitate their operational tasks, such as drafting regression cases, and help them adopt the test strategy. You oversee the documentation and uniformity of test plans and cases and provide problem-solving support during testing activities. As a Test Chapter Lead, you organize team meetings and encourage proactive contributions from team members.
Knowledge Management within the Field:
You are responsible for expanding technical knowledge within the testing domain by staying up to date with new technologies and tools. You translate these insights into practical solutions for Meat&More’s testing processes. You also identify suitable test automation tools for implementation and ensure knowledge-sharing with Test Engineers, enabling them to effectively apply the latest developments in their work.
Profile
Experience and Background
- You hold a Master’s degree in ICT or Economics (Business Engineering, Business Sciences, Applied Economics, etc.) or equivalent through experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Testing and/or Quality Assurance
- You have already had some experience in a leadership or coordinating role
- Knowledge of test methodologies, test automation, and best practices (V-Model, Agile, Waterfall, use cases, etc.)
- Familiarity with SQL, JavaScript, C++, SAP, Test Automation, and Azure DevOps is a plus
- Knowledge of Change Management practices (ADKAR) is an advantage
