Team Lead Sales, Transport & CRM @ Oleon



As Team Lead you are responsible for the people management of your team members in consultation with the Business Process Manager. You take care of their commitment and contribution to a coherent vision and approach within the entire Build organisation.

The most important task is to define the 'Oleon Business Process Architecture' together with the business stakeholders and to keep it up to date. Also to induce projects and changes that guarantee the correct application of it.

Together with your team, you are responsible for devising, developing and documenting robust solutions in line with the Business Process Architecture & Vision, taking the Technology Architecture & Vision into account.

As part of the IT Build organization, as a team leader, you will monitor the IT scope of Oleon business processes within the domain of Sales, Transportation and CRM.

Together with your team, you are responsible for capturing the right needs and converting them into the right functional solution. Configuration as a demonstration of the solution belongs to this competence. For standard software solutions, such as SAP ERP/CRM/LIM's, the Build Process team takes responsibility for carrying out the complete configuration. 


  • You have a minimum of one master's degree and you can present about 5 years of relevant work experience; 
  • You have experience in a complex production environment with a strong emphasis on Sales & Distribution. Knowledge of TMS, EDI, CRM is an absolute plus;
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is an asset.
  • You have gained initial experience managing a small team of experts. You give open and constructive feedback and strive for continuous improvement of the employees in your team;
  • You have strong coaching skills and know how to lead a team. You are a strong networker and inspire confidence in your team, the company and the partners and suppliers of Oleon and Avril;
  • You love project-based work, are self-managing and flexible, take initiative, involve people in a motivating way, and always keep an eye on the final objective.
  • You have a perfect command of Dutch and a good professional command of English. French knowledge is an extra asset.

Oleon, which is located in Ghent port, is Europe's largest oleochemical producer. The company specialises in processing vegetable oils and animal fats into oleochemical products such as fatty acids and esters. In comparison with petrochemical products, oleochemical products are better biodegradable or renewable. Oleon's products are not easily found in stores as an end product because they are generally used as building blocks in a wide range of products such as food, cosmetics, soaps and coatings.
