The role of Team Lead is crucial in managing both the team and clients. You have the opportunity to take a leading role in a company that is a leader in digital transformation and cloud solutions.

As a Technical Team Lead, you are responsible for a team of 10 technical specialists and consultants. You are in charge of managing, organizing, and developing the team and are also the main point of contact for clients and suppliers. Additionally, you are responsible for project management, change management, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for the environments supported by you and your team.

The team is responsible for setting up, maintaining, monitoring, securing, updating, and developing SAP ERP environments for clients, whether on-premise or in cloud environments. They provide infrastructure, SAP, and application expertise to ensure that clients' ERP environments operate within agreed-upon SLAs. 

The team also offers advice on future developments and requirements based on the specific characteristics of each client.

You will be part of a team with a diverse and extensive technological background and knowledge. As a Technical Team Lead, you function as a technical expert and spend 70% of your time on more complex technical implementations. 

In summary, as a Technical Team Lead, your diverse and broad tasks include:

  • Leading and organizing the team based on customer needs, ensuring the timely service delivery of projects.
  • Serving as the main technical contact for clients and suppliers from your role as a technical expert.
  • Managing the technical environment of SAP BC: transport management, execution, and understanding.
  • Finding technical solutions for specific customer requests.
  • Resolving complex problem situations and identifying preventive measures/improvements to processes and tools.
  • Evaluating the performance statistics of the environment.
  • Implementing configuration changes.
  • Keeping up-to-date knowledge of all operational security and emergency procedures.
  • Developing expertise in specific technologies and procedures.
  • Knowledge transfer to the rest of the team.
  • Participating in and executing technical upgrades and migration projects.
  • Installing and maintaining servers, operating systems, and network equipment.

  • Higher education with a strong IT background.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an SAP BC System Engineer/SAP Basis consultant.
  • Experience in project management and customer contact.
  • Initial experience in leading a team or ambition to grow into a technical team lead role in the short term.
  • Proven hands-on experience with knowledge of Cloud and/or VMware, operating systems, databases, and management of installations, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations (Microsoft or Linux).
