Function
The enormous business expansion, internationalization and the increasing number of users of the application have had an exponential impact on Nowjobs' IT department. This growth is forcing them to further automate their IT activities. In the space of two years, Nowjobs' IT specialists have grown from 10 employees to over 30. Each project team is strongly committed to the further scalability and performance of the product. In order to be able to further guarantee this enormous expansion, additional reinforcement is sought in the backend team to further shape this behind the scenes.
This is a new, additional position within Nowjobs to bring in seniority with a clear focus on building out and rolling out the existing software product for their customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The job title chosen is Technical Developer. The emphasis is on supervising agile projects. You are hands-on on a daily basis to take the product to the next level at development, testing and architectural level. Your previous experience and ideas will be highly appreciated in this team.
- You will actively participate in the development of the Nowjobs product. By using technological innovation, the "traditional" world changes into a fully digital world.
- You contribute in all functional areas. From the development of apps over server APIs, to the price engine or even learning appropriate algorithms for machines.
- You look for structural ways to build and maintain scalable and bug-free systems.
- You have a broad technological knowledge, but can also call on your expertise in certain areas and thereby set an example for your (junior) colleagues.
Profile
- You have a bachelor or master degree in ICT (or equivalent through experience).
- You can look back on at least 5 years of relevant experience in backend development, preferably in a results-oriented agile context.
- You can demonstrate an eagerness to learn and a willingness to keep Nowjobs' technology landscape up to date – prior knowledge is not a must (NodeJS, Ionic, Angular, Typescript, SQL).
- You are able to reflect on an architectural level and think about improving frameworks.
- You have excellent communication skills: you can negotiate, convince, understand, enthuse and connect. You are a pragmatist and are able to explain complex issues in a simple way.
