Function
As a core task within this position, it is your responsibility to build the best possible solutions, be it custom software, mobile applications, cloud solutions, training, integrations, … . You do this with a deep understanding of customer requirements and excellent technical knowledge, taking into account timing, available resources and budget. The technical vision of the project is determined by you as Senior Software Engineer, in close cooperation with the customer and Metanous' senior development team.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful supervision of customer projects. You will analyse customer problems, find solutions and write code to bring these solutions to life. You will have tremendous freedom and responsibility to apply your technical expertise and add value to the solutions Metanous provides to customers.
Profile
Experience and background
- You have strong analytical thinking skills and show the necessary proactivity to fully manage projects independently.
- You have at least several years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in the .NET stack.
- Experience with some of the following technologies is definitely a plus:
- C#
- Xamarin (iOS, Android, Forms)
- Angular (or similar client-side technologies)
- ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI
- WPF and WinForms
- WCF
- Microsoft Azure
- As an experienced full-stack engineer, you are also welcome if you can introduce new technologies.
- A passion for the job is absolutely essential.
- You take a proactive approach and strive for quality in your work. You have an understanding of working according to agile and scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of security and ethical hacking is an added bonus.
Competencies
- Someone who enjoys taking on technical challenges (especially complex long-term projects)
- Broad and out-of-the-box thinking is encouraged.
- Strong communication skills are essential due to customer contact.
- Important to maintain architectural overview and be strong in both technical development and architecture.
- Proactivity is a valued trait in this role.
Language skills
As Senior Software Engineer, you have good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
