“Digital transformation for innovation” is one of the key strategic themes of Daikin in their Fusion25 ambition. The EMEA Electric & Controls department is right at the beating heart of this ambition.
Huge leaps are being made in building digital platforms and apps. Every year, more than 1 million devices are added to Daikin's IoT / Cloud platform. Of course, none of this is possible without solid investments in security. The security architecture team, headed by the CISO, consists of 3 people and is looking for additional reinforcement.
As Security Architect, you form the bridge between the development organisation (embedded, cloud, IoT) and the Security team. In order to market products on a global scale, Daikin has to comply with a lot of international and local rulesets and security guidelines (ISO standards, NIS,…). You play a key role and have the authority to decide how to translate these guidelines into pragmatic solutions, which the development teams can then use.
You are responsible for designing and implementing the plan that makes Daikin’s Cloud and App solutions future and security-proof. You work together with partners, to further expand an innovative, stable, scalable and client oriented cloud platform for the complete range of Daikin’s products. As a Security Architect you are part of the architecture team and you define the security roadmap of Daikin IoT developments. Your role will be key in the next steps of the construction of the most lean architecture, balancing cost and performance, for Daikin’s Cloud solutions.
These will be your key tasks:
- Define and improve the security features of the architectural landscape, taking into account Daikin Europe business priorities.
- Review security requirements and assess the security posture to identify gaps or improvements.
- Translating compliance and regulations into a pragmatic security architecture
- Participate in projects and business initiatives, and collaboration with the developments teams, as the security subject matter expert on an architect level.
- Initiate and perform R&D in the field of IT security and the IT security trending topics, including cloud security and IoT
- Support the development and implementation of security and compliance legislation, such a ETSI EN 303 645
- Design, document and visualize the architecture of the security solutions
- Work closely together with the product development team to make sure that this design is supported and realized.
- Interact as an expert and coordinate with dedicated technology suppliers and partners.
- Analyse risks and possible impact of changes to the architecture.
- Monitoring the principles and agreements as determined in the architecture board.
Profile
Background and experience
- You have obtained a Master's degree in an ICT field or equal through working experience
- You have relevant experience in a similar role in the IT security area.
- You have experience within a software development environment, preferably IoT related (embedded development, Cloud,…).
- You have the skill to pro-actively follow up your projects and provide the necessary reporting to management.
- You have good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience in implementing security solutions.
- You have the decisiveness to select information security practices, technologies and policies what requires confidence in your knowledge and assessments of organizational needs.
- You are a strong team player, good communicator and you strive for consensus between the stakeholders in the project
- You have an innovative mindset.
- Stay current on industry trends; innovate through research, proof of concepts, and demos
