Function
As a Project Engineer HyperConverged & Cloud IT at ASTRID, you will play a crucial role within the IT Platforms & Security Team. Your main responsibility is to define, implement and manage IT systems, with a focus on HyperConverged infrastructure and cloud technologies.
You will ensure that ASTRID's IT systems operate optimally in both physical (on-premises) and virtual (private and public cloud) environments. This includes defining and implementing new projects, managing project schedules, coordinating resources, risk assessment and mitigation, and ensuring a high level of documentation and troubleshooting within IT projects.
In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of services delivered, especially in a “Managed Services” context. You will evaluate and validate technical recommendations from service providers according to ITIL guidelines and actively participate in all IT projects within ASTRID. You will also advise and participate in other ASTRID projects where IT infrastructure competencies are needed.
The ultimate goal of your role is to ensure that ASTRID's IT infrastructure functions effectively and efficiently, enabling the organization to fulfill its mission to provide a reliable and secure network for all emergency and security services in Belgium.
Profile
Experience and Background
- Extensive project management experience in IT infrastructures, with particular emphasis on HyperConverged and Cloud solutions.
- Experience in defining, planning and implementing IT systems within complex infrastructures.
- Knowledge of virtualization (e.g. Nutanix, VMware and Microsoft solutions).
- Experience in managing external integrators and vendors within a Managed Services context.
- Knowledge of ITIL methodologies and experience applying ITIL processes.
Competencies
- You are stress resistant and have good communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with different stakeholders (colleagues, integrators, suppliers, customers, …).
- You can work independently, with a structured approach and a solution-oriented mindset. Likewise, you have the ability to work accurately and have an eye for detail.
Language skills
As Project Engineer IT you have good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
