OT Systems Engineer @ What’s cooking

What’s Cooking?, the new commercial name for the former 'Ter Beke', is an innovative European food producer specializing in fresh and savory foods (such as savory spreads and ready meals). This company originated in 1948 from the activities of Francies Coopman, a butcher who wanted to offer high-quality and affordable charcuterie. His small company, 'Ter Beke', quickly grew into a national success and became the preferred partner for butchers both domestically and internationally.

This leading food producer currently operates 12 production sites spread across Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, they have 7 commercial offices in Europe and a headquarters in Waarschoot (Belgium). The products of What’s Cooking? are delivered to customers in no less than 37 countries, including Austria, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and France. This international expansion has enabled the company to serve a wide range of markets and maintain a strong presence in the European food industry. Since its inception, the company has grown from a one-man business to a company with more than 2,500 employees. Last year, the company achieved a turnover of 832 million euros. This growth reflects the company's ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

In 2023, Ter Beke was officially rebranded to What’s Cooking? to highlight the transformation from a local butcher shop to an international player, offering not only charcuterie but also high-quality food products that meet the diverse needs of their global customer base.
