Function
As a System Engineer, you are a generalist who focuses on multiple support domains depending on your competencies, experience, and ambitions:
Datacenter
- Server Management: Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of primarily physical servers.
- Backup and Recovery: Ensuring consistent backups and implementing a robust disaster recovery plan.
- Patch Management: Keeping systems and software up to date to reduce security risks.
- User Administration: Creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts and access rights.
Network
- Network Configuration and Maintenance: Managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure a stable and secure network.
- Network Security: Applying security protocols to protect the network from attacks, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitoring network performance and resolving issues promptly.
- Cloud Integration: Implementing and managing cloud solutions (such as Intune) to improve collaboration and access to company resources.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM), including Telephony: Managing and securing mobile devices to ensure safe remote work for employees.
- Application Management: Implementing, updating, and supporting collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams.
IT Security
- Endpoint Security: Implementing and managing antivirus, antimalware, and endpoint protection on all devices.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensuring the IT environment meets corporate and regulatory requirements.
Support for Production Processes
- IT Support for Production Environments: Maintaining a stable IT infrastructure to support production systems.
- Problem-Solving: Responding quickly to and resolving issues to ensure the continuity of production processes.

Profile
Experience and Background
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
- Several years of relevant work experience.
- Strong interest in working within production environments.
- Extensive knowledge of IT landscapes and technologies, including:
- Microsoft stack, VMware, and Microsoft Azure.
- Servers, Backup & Recovery solutions.
- Networking, Firewalls, and Cyber Security.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
