1. Position Content

Purpose of the Position

The  IT Site Manager at GSK Saint Amand Les Eaux will functionally lead the IT  team for the Saint Amand Manufacturing Sites and align IT strategies with business objectives, ensuring the site remains at the forefront of technological advancements in vaccines manufacturing. Increasing data fluency of the site, the progress with digital opportunities and the adoption of the solution in the manufacturing platform. The IT Site Manager is a Business Partner and bridge-builder between the Global (Central) IT team and the Saint Amand Les Eaux site.

Reporting
 

The IT Site Manager reports to the IT Cluster Head for Vaccines Italy, North France, and Singapore. The global Tech organization structure is vast, covering ten vaccine production sites, with the largest being in Wavre, Belgium.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • IT Business Partner for Site Director & Site Leadership Team (SLT): Represent IT in site governance forums. (20%) Liaise with other roles within and outside the IT organization, to ensure alignment between Tech and business strategy deployment. Take initiative to connect to the network, GSK encourages non-structured independent contacts and collaboration. Identify site requirements, gaps, opportunities, identify  business sponsorship,  and partner to develop and agree project proposals with appropriate return on investment in a very complex multi-product manufacturing site

 

  • Line-manage Site IT Team / Lead and Develop the Site IT Organization: Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and guidance to staff.  Enhance capability and ensure ongoing development. Set clear objectives by defining and establishing team performance measures and standards which underpin al objectives
  • Partner with Shared Service Management to align service strategy with site and supply chain requirements.
     
  • Governance Processes: Align central project delivery with site strategies, drive simplification and standardization, inspect readiness of IT and maintain overall accountability for Site IT Quality, Risk & compliance, take care of IT risks and mitigation,  and manage IT OPEX and CAPEX.
     
  • Implement IT Strategies: Ensure the site exploits IT strategies and plans to move to strategic standards.
  • Generate, Maintain, and Deliver an IT Roadmap: Align site/business requirements with central planning and delivery through liaison with IT Product Teams and Strategy/Portfolio leads. (30%)
  • Work with various strategic partners: for sure the provider of the Deskside resources on site and the partner for the infrastructure connectivity but depending from how will be the involvement in strategic pull/push products also with other strategic partners.
  • Ensure Regulatory and Statutory Compliance: Adhere to local and corporate Tech policies and procedures.
  • Build Technology Knowledge: Support site business processes. (10%)

Profile

1. Education

Degree (BSc) preferably in Computer Science, Engineering.

2. Experience and Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing environments and Tech systems (incl. SAP).
  • Understanding of business area strategic goals, processes, and workflow.
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle & Project Management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and plan work to meet objectives.

3. Soft Skills

  • Coachable, with good emotional intelligence.
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with senior leadership.
  • Solution-oriented and able to drive technology adoption.

4. Language Knowledge

French at native level is required. Good knowledge of English as well.
