Function

As IT Project Manager Facility Management at the National Bank of Belgium, you will play a crucial role in modernising and optimising IT functionalities within facility management. This domain is developing rapidly and there are numerous innovative IT solutions that can be applied to facilities management. Your task is to investigate and implement these possibilities, with the aim of taking NBB's facility services to the next level and making them ready for the future.

You will proactively seek out the latest technological developments applicable to facility management. Think of smart building technologies, digital twins, IoT for building management, smart sensors for energy management, etc. You then implement these solutions to improve the efficiency, sustainability and safety of the National Bank's facilities.

Duties and responsibilities
As IT Project Manager Facility Management at the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), you will carry a wide range of responsibilities:

  • User needs analysis: You will identify and analyse user needs and current and future system gaps within facility management.This includes collecting data and looking for opportunities to simplify and automate processes.You investigate where improvements can be made and propose solutions. 
  • Project management: You take on the role of project manager within IT-related projects. You are responsible for the realisation of set objectives, constantly monitoring quality, budget and planning. You act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and ensure clear and structured communication and reporting around projects. 
  • IT tools: You act as a promoter of new IT projects and tools within the facility management team and the wider organisation. You also play a role in driving innovation by introducing new technologies and solutions
  • Stakeholder contact: An important part of your work will be working with end-users of the systems across the facility management department. In addition to internal teams, you will also interact with external vendors and partners providing tools and technologies. You will be responsible for coordinating these collaborations and ensuring that they fit seamlessly with NBB's internal processes.
  • Change Management: In this role, you will also be expected to act as a change manager. It is not only important to propose innovative solutions, but also to convince your team and the rest of the organisation of the benefits.You must be able to explain why certain changes are necessary, what the impact is, and how they contribute to NBB's objectives.

Profile

Profile:

  • You have a strong background in IT, ideally with knowledge of applications in facility management or similar environments. 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in( IT) project management.
  • Change management skills.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • National Bank is looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and delve into both the technical and human aspects of facility management. 
  • Experience in the banking sector is a plus
  • Preferably in possession of a master's degree.
  • Knowledge of Asset/facility management and Facility Management IT tools (FMIS, BIM) are a plus

Competencies

  • Conceptual thinking and making connections between different areas.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work in a bilingual or multilingual environment.
  • Language skills

Active knowledge of French and English (minimum level A2).
