Function
Tasks (in order of time allocation):
- Analysis and Optimization: You conduct in-depth analyses of business processes, optimize existing workflows, and develop improvements to enhance the company’s efficiency. This involves creating business cases based on root cause and scenario analyses to clearly define problems and solutions. You translate these into practical use cases and user stories, documenting and managing functional requirements. Additionally, you identify risks and bottlenecks to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner. You collaborate closely with various departments to arrive at the best solutions.
- Design and Implementation: You translate business requirements into functional and efficient IT solutions and guide their implementation. You serve as the point of contact for the development team, both internal and external, quickly and effectively answering their functional questions. Additionally, you act as a sounding board for the business and project teams, ensuring alignment and that the solution fits Meat&More’s strategic goals. During implementation, you monitor progress, prioritize requirements, and ensure that technical solutions adequately address business needs.
- Product Ownership: As a Business Analyst, you take responsibility for managing and further developing IT solutions within your product team. This requires a solid understanding of Meat&More’s strategy and the strategy of the relevant divisions, in consultation with the Business Relationship Manager. You proactively offer suggestions for evolving solutions, always keeping long-term goals and strategic alignment in mind. You also keep a close eye on the latest technological trends and developments within the business domain, allowing you to anticipate future needs and propose improvements that further support and strengthen operations.
- Supporting Key Users: You analyze key users' questions and problems, provide solutions, and coordinate with external partners when necessary. Additionally, you guide and train users to maximize the use of systems and reporting tools.
- Knowledge Management and Innovation: You ensure that documentation and knowledge remain up-to-date, and you continuously develop yourself by keeping up with new trends and technologies. This allows you to offer innovative solutions that enhance the quality of your work.
Profile
Experience and Background:
- You hold a bachelor's or university degree in ICT or Economics (Business Engineering, Business Sciences, Applied Economic Sciences, etc.) or equivalent through experience;
- You have knowledge of food processing and/or the retail market;
- You combine business thinking with a broad interest in IT;
- You are familiar with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation);
- You have an affinity with (Agile) software development processes and product ownership;
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus.

- You have a highly pragmatic approach, and your 'hands-on' mentality drives you to actively contribute to the content of projects;
- You possess a strong helicopter view, allowing you to maintain an end-to-end vision of your projects at all times;
- You are a strong communicator;
- You are stress-resistant;
- You can build both formal and informal networks and know how to engage all stakeholders;
- You have a structured approach but are also proactive and flexible enough to work in a fast-evolving environment.
Language Skills:
You have an active command of Dutch, both spoken and written. A good knowledge of English is also an advantage.
