Function
Purpose of the Function
The IT Application Expert has a broad range of duties and will interact with a very wide range of applications and systems, of which ERP (MS Dynamics BC) is the most important, but also the WMS, MES, lab applications and the Office365 environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
ERP management:
- Daily management and maintenance of Dynamics Business Central.
- User management, support, and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring ERP performance and organising training.
ERP development:
- Development and implementation of new ERP functionalities.
- Process optimisation through collaboration with departments.
- Testing and implementation of updates and new modules.
System integration:
- Design and manage links between ERP and other systems (MES, WMS).
- Managing APIs, EDIs and collaboration with IT and suppliers.
Data, BI and Reporting:
- Development of reports and dashboards.
- Management of data flows and data integration between ERP and other applications.
The IT Application Expert ensures an optimal ERP system, preservation of data quality, and efficient integrations and innovations.
Profile
Experience and background
For this challenge, we are looking for an experienced IT Application Expert with the following background:
Technical knowledge:
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Knowledge of the modules and functions within Microsoft Dynamics BC.
- Experience with configuration, customisation and customisation within Dynamics BC.
- Understanding of the architecture and internal processes of Business Central.
- Knowledge of the administrative processes supported by BC (finance, inventory management, sales, production).
- Integration and interfacing
- Experience developing and managing interfaces between Dynamics BC and other systems (e.g. CRM, MES, WMS).
- Knowledge of tools and techniques such as APIs, EDI and data links for integrating systems.
- Data analysis and reporting
- Experience with JetReports, Power BI or similar reporting tools for analysing and visualising data.
- Ability to create SQL queries and experience with database management.
- Cloud and on-premise environments
- Experience with both on-premise and cloud-based ERP environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its integration with Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
