Function
Group S is in full transformation, with a growing range of services and a solid digital ambition. Because of the different services and solutions, there is a very wide range of technologies within Group S. These range from existing legacy to highly innovative apps. Within the IT & Digital Team (130 people), the IT Development Team (55 people) is by far the largest team.
As Head of IT Development, you will manage the development teams within Group S and, from this role, help steer the organisation's ambitious digital journey. You are responsible for leading and managing all software development activities within the organisation. You will help shape the role, operation of the team and prioritisation of tasks. Typical responsibilities include: team management, strategic planning and shaping IT & Digital policies, Project Management, supporting growth of technical expertise, R&D and innovation.
Profile
Experience in leading software development activities is required to be successful in the role. You have experience in managing team leads, project leads,… Ideally in a complex context where stakeholder management is essential. Experience in subject matter: social secretariat, HR, and/or the technologies used is a plus, not a requirement. Experience in resource planning, budget management, prioritisation, process improvement and innovation is necessary.
You have an energetic and optimistic nature. With a pragmatic and people-oriented approach, you can grow your team in a positive way.
Active mother tongue knowledge of at least 1 of the national languages (Dutch/French), and ideally also a professional level of the other language. This can also be learned further on-the-job or via the internal training offered.
