The aim of the Digital Transformation Specialist is to analyse, improve and make current business processes and ways of working more intelligent. This new role has been created because there is a need for a ‘challenger’ for the business as usual, someone who explores how to make business operations more efficient. The Digital Transformation Specialist will have the opportunity to map Torfs' business processes and implement newer technologies. There is a need for someone who can clarify and implement the importance of modern methodologies to make the business work more efficiently and intelligently.
The Digital Transformation specialist is responsible for raising the business's level of knowledge in new technologies, including process automation and AI. The Digital Transformation specialist will explore how AI can help and inspire the business, take the business through new technological developments, and implement and assess AI-driven applications across departments.
The role consists of 4 core components:
- Architecture: The Digital Transformation Specialist will perform in-depth analysis to understand the current state of affairs and identify improvement opportunities, with the aim of optimising and improving business processes.
- Implementation: Implementing technical optimisations and intelligent business processes, the specialist will focus on improving processes and integrating advanced technologies into business operations.
- Business Support and Transformation: The Digital Transformation specialist will support and transform the business by making processes more intelligent using data.
- Training: By training employees and making them aware of new technologies and AI, the specialist will be able to increase internal knowledge at Torfs as well as be the bridge between IT and Business.
Profile
Experience and background
- You have at least 2-3 years of working experience in process optimisation;
- You have a thorough knowledge and eagerness to learn the Microsoft Stack;
- You are passionate about technology implementation in the context of automation (e.g. experience with RPA, vba scripting, Python,…). AI knowledge is a plus (know that there are sufficient internal resources available to train the specialist in this);
- Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Cliq is a plus;
- Experience in the retail sector is an asset.

- You have project management skills to manage the implementation of technological solutions;
- You communicate clearly and proactively with different departments;
- You have a pragmatic mind and are an out-of-the-box thinker;
- You have a proactive attitude and the ability to come up with innovative solutions to improve processes.
Language skills
As a Digital Transformation Specialist, you are proficient in the Dutch language.
