Function
The Infrastructure & Service Manager defines, manages and coordinates all aspects of EMPWR's entire IT infrastructure and is responsible for strategy, projects and operations.
He/she is responsible for continuous strategic IT optimization across three domains:
- End- User Services: the entire office environment (digital workplace, printers, scanners, Teams, Sharepoint,e-mail, Office365, )
- Back-End Services: servers, network, backup, service desk and cloud environment
- Cybersecurity
You define the IT strategy and translate it into a roadmap with projects.
You oversee and monitor the optimization and continuity of the systems (maintenance/support), as well as to the elaboration (design) and delivery (execution, migration, …) of complex projects.
You maintain contacts with external partners and guarantee that the agreed service levels are achieved.
You guarantee IT service to support the ambitions of the business.
You coordinate a team and are responsible for its further development.
Tasks and responsabilities:
- You are responsible for the strategy, projects and operations related to IT infrastructure and end-user services;
- You analyze the needs of the organization and translate them into a concrete roadmap. You also define projects that provide solutions to improve the efficient operational functioning of the organization;
- You keep yourself informed of the evolutions and developments in the field of IT infrastructure and services and thus keep your knowledge within the organization up to date. You make technological choices and incorporate them in a strategy and roadmap;
- Stakeholder management: You maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the organization to align the strategy with current and future business needs;
- You are the point of contact for suppliers in projects and day-to-day support. You oversee and manage daily IT activities in collaboration with external service providers with a focus on continuous improvement and building strong relationships with vendors and service providers;
- You are responsible for coordinating, organizing and evaluating projects. For the infrastructure projects you operate as Project Manager and are responsible for monitoring the scope, directing resources (internal and external), budget and timing.
- You are responsible for budget management;
- End-User Services: you build the roadmap in function of improving the end-user experience regarding digital workspace, based on new market trends and technologies. You manage the central metrics driven service management with user support and first line support for all IT problems. You provide and follow up on SLAs;
- You act as Infrastructure architect and expert and provide support for infrastructure projects from this role;
- You are responsible for asset management, the procurement process, inventory and life cycle management of infrastructure and service technology;
- You take ownership of cybersecurity: you ensure a standard security technology, proactively monitor and manage risks or vulnerabilities and ensure awareness among suppliers and employees;
- You are responsible for leading, coaching, guiding and developing employees as well as the further development of IT team.
Profile
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT;
- You have experience in a similar position and with IT infrastructure in all its aspects, including people management responsibility;
- You have a good conceptual knowledge of ICT market trends related to infrastructure (cloud computing, virtualization, network, …) and end-user technology (digital workplace, communication, collaboration…). You are able to critically evaluate their potential added value or proactively propose new opportunities;
- Experience with cybersecurity is an asset;
- You have experience in a manufacturing or supply-chain organization;
- You have strong analytical skills;
- You are an excellent team player;
- Persuasive and enthusiastic leadership;
- You have a helicopter view, take a pragmatic approach and can think along with the organization;
- You are willing to travel (also outside Europe) (15%).
