The 4th industrial revolution fundamentally alters the way we live and work. Where the focus previously was on engagement, the focus today is much more on experience. Marketing departments have already understood this shift well in terms of external communication, but as far as internal communication is concerned, many companies are still lagging behind.
Today, as an employee you can get overwhelmed with information via all sorts of channels. In addition, thanks to / or due to digital platforms, the speed with which we can communicate has increased enormously. That means that a lot of information does not linger.
